The mom I received after a wedding party and had a final spike. Soon after she started to produce side keikis. They started to grow so big that had to detach from parent. It was in soil and placed in margarita glass right the way to Full Water Culture (FWC). He loves it! Within 2 weeks 4 new big roots and mitten!
I’m very curious if the color will be the same what her mom…
And.. Yeah! Huge success!

May 10th, 2017. Present from Jola. Beautiful phals. After they stopped flowering 2 of them had spikes with babies. One spike started to get brown from bottom to top so baby wasn’t save-able. I tried with dump sphagnum moss- worse, then just wet paper towel- it started to get little green nob. I accidentally broke it once trying to remove old leave- next time use tools and not pull it! 🙁 here is the 2nd baby thriving in FWC.

Above is a gift from babcia Ania. I have move them to moss first, then to leca and lost 2 – it was too dry. Finally directly to full water culture and it seems to love it. Can’t wait to find out the color of the flower!

This one was another experiment. It started in leca beads plastic container with wholes around it. It loved it for the first year then black rot was getting to roots, so moved it to glass with the straw in it. After standing in water for few days drain the glass by placing long tube inside the straw to empty the glass. Moved to Full Water Culture in spring 2020 and the root porn began.
